Estate Tax

The Will County Treasurer collects Estate Tax payments on behalf of the State of Illinois. First, obtain an Estate and Generation Skipping Transfer Tax Return (Form 700). After completing this form, either bring a copy to the Will County Treasurer’s Office along with a check for the amount owed or mail the form and the check to our address. Make checks payable to the "Will County Treasurer."

If you would like a receipted copy of this form, please make a copy of the Form 700 before coming to our office or include the copy in the mail with the original form and check along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
