The Will County Treasurer’s Office offers five ways to pay your property taxes.  You can pay either or both of the installments using these methods.

Online

This website accepts tax payments in two ways:

1.       Automatic Withdrawal (ACH) from your checking or savings accounts

2.       Visa or MasterCard

You can make an online payment by clicking here.  Transaction fees do apply.

By Mail

You can mail your tax payment to our office:

Post Office Box 5000

Joliet, IL 60434-5000

There is no charge to pay with a check.  However, we only accept checks through October 2, 2011.  Afterwards, we will accept cash, money orders, cashier’s checks, or certified checks until November 18, 2011.  Please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope if you would like a receipt.

Only U.S. Postal Service postmarks prove on-time payment, not postage meter dates.

At Our Drop Box

Much like mailing your tax payment to our office, we offer a secure Drop Box option.

302 North Chicago Street

Joliet, IL 60432-4059

As with payment by mail, there is no charge to pay with a check.  We will accept payment until November 12, 2011.

At Local Banks

You can pay your taxes at local banks who participate in our Deputy Collector Program.

These local banks will accept cash, checks, or credit cards (as a cash advance) from May 1, 2011 to June 1, 2011 for the First Installment.  They accept payments for the Second Installment from August 1, 2011 to September 1, 2011.

At Our Office

Our office has full-time cashiers during the tax payment season.  While there is a short wait time, we can professionally process any form of payment we accept (cash, check, or credit cards).  Our office hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM weekdays. We accept payment from May 1, 2010 to November 18, 2010.
